Bang Si Hyuk of HYBE sumitted a petition to the court advocating for "Freedom of Creativity"

During the 50th Civil Court Division hearing at the Seoul Central District Court on May 17 KST, HYBE Labels chairman Bang Si Hyuk submitted a petition on behalf of HYBE. A portion of the letter was read by HYBE's legal representative, disclosing Bang's stance in the ongoing case against ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin.

Bang Si Hyuk stated, "Despite recent events, creators must have freedom to create even more freely than they are now. Freedom of creation does not stop as a creator's dream alone. The only means for K-Pop to endure is for creators to create more freely than ever before. This freedom was the force which powered K-Pop's growth until now."

He continued, "Some argue that Min Hee Jin's actions exposed the weaknesses of a multi-label system. However, even the most sophisticated systems cannot prevent human malice. Nevertheless, one person's malicious actions alone cannot dismantle a system built over a long period, which is the enduring strength of this system." Bang Si Hyuk concluded, "I am committed to the sustained existence of a just K-Pop industry and believe that fostering a positive, creative environment in K-Pop is my entrepreneurial calling. I am determined to resolve this issue and deeply apologize for causing concerns in an industry meant to provide entertainment. I respectfully ask the court to reject the plaintiff's request."
